I teach both abstract workshops and private lessons here in Charleston SC but I also occasionally teach in other parts of the Southeast

In this fun, hands-on workshop which I call the Abstract Expressionist Bootcamp, participants explore the core elements of abstract expressionism—line, shape, color, energy, and intuition—through a series of dynamic exercises. You'll begin with expressive mark-making and colorful shape creation, then transform your work into unique collages. Using blind contour drawing from real-life objects, you'll develop intentional lines and later carve out abstract forms with color. The workshop culminates in a medium to larger pieces that channels your personal thoughts, feelings, or experiences. Perfect for artists eager to embrace abstraction and deepen their creative expression.
